Racha Yai Island is easily accessible by Phuket dive boats. With a big day trip boat taking around 1.5 hours and a speedboat just 40 minutes to reach the island. This quick journey allows more time for sightseeing. The island’s three sides north, west, and east offer easy to moderate dive sites. Racha Yai, also known as Raya Yai or Raja Yai, is a popular dive destination from Phuket, located 15km south of Chalong Bay. Dive year round in its shallow bays and reefs up to 25m depth suitable for all divers. It serves as the main training location for new divers and offers clear water for easy dives or scuba reviews. The island, approximately 3.5km long and 1.5km wide It provides shelter on windy days, allowing diving throughout the year. With around six named dive sites, mostly on the east coast, Racha Yai is an excellent choice during the low season when winds come from the west.

This is a great option for a smaller dive group. Nooreen can take a maximum of 4 divers plus about 8 non-divers, and even up to 15 guests if all are non-divers.
