The SSI Open Water Diver Course equips you with essential skills for safe and independent diving. This engaging course is designed for beginner divers and includes Digital Learning through the SSI education system, allowing you to prepare in advance, rest better, and save money.
Course Overview:
This SSI course consists of pool training, 6 Open Water dives via day trip boat, and a final exam featuring 50 questions. Your SSI certification is recognized worldwide, opening the door to exciting adventures.
We maintain a maximum class size of 4 students per instructor, and you also have the option to book a private course for more personalized attention.
With the SSI learning system, you can access free online learning from home, your hotel, or even the beach, allowing you to study at your own pace.

How do I get my PADI or SSI? Is diving easy?
Learning to dive is a straightforward process. Though you may feel a bit apprehensive initially, the course’s structured approach will ease you into the basics, starting with shallow pool practice before exploring reefs. Many discover diving to be an incredibly enjoyable activity. The Open Water Diver course involves progressive steps, with no wreck penetration or dives deeper than 18 meters initially. The excitement of these experiences comes later.
Phuket Open Water Dives
During open water dives, following your initial pool sessions, you will undertake 4 to 6 open water dives over a span of 2 days guided by your Instructor. These dives will occur in the expansive ocean, beginning at shallower depths and gradually progressing deeper, with the maximum depth capped at 18 meters. This phase offers a real taste of underwater exploration, taking place during full-day boat excursions to nearby islands off the coast of Phuket.”

DAY 1: 09:00am
Meet at our dive shop or *pick up from hotel
Once your student record file is completed, we’ll organize your dive equipment and head to the pool for confined water training. Depending on the learning pace of you and other students, we may enjoy lunch at the pool or conclude the session earlier.
*Pick up on the first day possible for hotels near our dive center.
DAY 2: 7:30am
Pick up from hotel, diving 3 dives at Koh Racha Noi and Yai, return about 5:30pm.
*Transfers included from/to hotels at Kata, Karon or Patong beach areas of Phuket.
DAY 3: 7:30am
Pick up from hotel, diving 2 dives at Koh Racha Noi and Yai, return about 5:30pm.

SSI Training Center – Phuket Open Water Diver Courses
We prioritize quality instruction and offer a thorough 3-day Open Water Diver course with small classes. This includes 2 days of day trip boat dives to Racha Noi and Racha Yai islands in Phuket’s south. Upon completing the online theory, we can proceed directly to the pool training. It’s recommended to finish the FREE Digital Learning before the course begins. For courses with theory sessions at our dive center, it’s beneficial to arrive a day prior to collect your Open Water Diver manual for better preparation (PADI only). The 3-day course is designed to be easy and enjoyable. Please be aware that beginner dive courses are not permitted in Similan Islands National Park.
