King Cruiser, Shark Point, Koh Doc Mai – 3 Dives

This trip includes three dives at the King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point, and Koh Doc Mai Island. operating almost daily during the high season and on some days in the low season! The King Cruiser was a sizable ferry, previously a car ferry, that sank over 20 years ago after colliding with Anemone Reef between Phuket and Phi Phi. Typically, the first dive will be at the wreck, followed by dives at Shark Point, known for its submerged pinnacle adorned with soft corals, and Koh Doc Mai, a steep limestone island rising dramatically from the sea. Occasionally, if currents are strong, the first dive may be switched to Koh Doc Mai instead of the wreck.

The day trip boat takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the King Cruiser. Providing plenty of time for breakfast, equipment setup, dive briefings, and sunbathing. This trip is designed for Advanced Open Water divers or Open Water divers with significant dive experience. It also serves as part of our Advanced Open Water course.

The three dives are distinct: a wreck, a pinnacle, and the steep walls of Koh Doc Mai. The wreck is teeming with marine life seeking refuge from currents. With depths ranging from 15 to 31 meters. Shark Point, with a maximum depth of 24 meters, offers the chance to spot leopard sharks and abundant fish activity. If Koh Doc Mai is the last dive, it features an 18-meter dive with walls adorned in soft corals and gorgonians, where divers can look for ghost pipefish, moray eels, and seahorses.
