King Cruiser & Shark Point Speedboat Diving Tours Phuket
Between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands lie three dive sites: Shark Point, King Cruiser Wreck, and Anemone Reef. A speedboat can reach these sites in just an hour from Phuket. A day trip vessel takes double the time. Shark Point, known for frequent Leopard Shark sightings, is close to Anemone Reef and King Cruiser Wreck. Shark Point comprises three main pinnacles in a north to south formation with depths ranging from 5-10m to a maximum of 20-25m. These open sea dive sites offer no protection by a landmass, making them ideal for speedboat tours in calm waters.
King Cruiser Wreck
The King Cruiser, a former car and passenger ferry operating between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands, sank in May 1997 after hitting the submerged rock of Anemone Reef. Fortunately, everyone had a lucky escape as dive vessels quickly rescued all on board. The 85m long and 25m wide wreck features four decks with large passages and window holes for exploration. While some parts have deteriorated, it’s not safe to penetrate the collapsed top deck at the stern. Divers can explore the passenger deck from the outside at depths of 18-22m with the wreck’s top at 14m and a maximum depth of 32m. Look out for camouflaged scorpion fish among the barnacles and rusting steel—be cautious not to touch anything during your dive.

This is a great option for a smaller dive group. Nooreen can take a maximum of 4 divers plus about 8 non-divers, and even up to 15 guests if all are non-divers.
